A Message from the President

Assure a Positive Environment For the Practice of Interior Design in Tennessee!

— We are the future of interior design.

OUR JOURNEY
TIDC is having a birthday. 17 years. 17 years of serving interior designers in Tennessee. 17 years of action. And 17 years of listening and learning. TIDC was born in 1990 under a parenting agreement between ASID, IDS and IIDA. This parentage enabled our first legislative effort – title registration of interior designers. In the years since, TIDC has worked hard to update, improve, modify, defeat, and track legislative and regulatory activity affecting interior design in our state and across the country.

17 years has taken TIDC into its adolescence. And now it’s time to decide what we want to be when we grow up. We’ve heard what Tennessee’s designers want – and we are more certain now than ever of the value and protection interior designers offer to the public.

OUR PROMISE
We sincerely appreciate your past support and encourage you to continue to provide financial and volunteer support during this tremendous legislative effort. In turn, the TIDC Board will continue to work on your behalf to enhance and protect your right to practice and we will strive to assure a positive environment for the practice of interior design in Tennessee.

OUR UMBRELLA
The Tennessee Interior Design Coalition is the umbrella organization which represents all interior designers, whether ASID, IDS, IIDA, or independent. We work within in the legislative and regulatory arenas to protect and enhance your right to practice interior design.

Katherine S. Setser, IIDA
President, TIDC

Contribute to TIDC's Political Action Committee

A Political Action Committee, often referred to as a PAC, is formed by a special interest group to raise money and make contributions to the campaigns of political candidates whom support their cause. This is the way organizations support their sponsors and others in the legislature.

Tennessee law prohibits corporate contributions to political campaigns but individuals, partnerships, limited liability partnerships (LLPs) and limited liability corporations (LLCs) may contribute.
